How and where are Miss Helen’s bakes made?

Miss Helen’s wedding cakes are baked and decorated fresh to order at our home kitchen in Micklefield.

How long will my cake stay fresh for?

All our products are made without artificial preservatives and we recommend eating them within 3 days to enjoy them at their best. All of our cakes and dessert table items are baked fresh to order and so most are suitable for freezing.

Do you make free-from cakes?

We bake all our treats in our home kitchen which regularly handles gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts.

Please inform us of any dietary requirements at the point of order, and we will discuss these needs with you before confirmation of your order.

How and when do I pay for my cake?

A £150 booking fee is required for wedding cakes payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable one calendar month prior to the wedding.

Please note no booking is confirmed until the booking fee or full balance has been paid. All booking fees are non refundable.

How far ahead should I order?

We kindly request a minimum of three months for wedding cakes, but the more notice you can give, the better!

We tend to get booked up far in advance, especially during peak wedding season (May - September), so please get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

We will always try to accommodate last-minute orders whenever we can; if you need an urgent order, please email us directly at hello@misshelensbakes.com and we’ll do our very best to help!

Can I try some samples?

Yes! For weddings, we encourage you to come to a consultation where you can try some different flavours and discuss designs and ideas for your cakes.

Sample flavours are generally our most popular flavours, and will give a good indication of the quality of our cakes to allow you to make an informed choice from the full menu.

What if I need to amend or cancel my order?

If you need to change the date or details of your order or cancel it, please contact us as far in advance as possible.

We will always be as accommodating as we can if you need to change or postpone an order but please bear in mind that we may have had to turn away other customers to fulfil your booking for a particular date so refunds/changes are not always possible.

Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information:

Can I alter the design of my cake after booking?

We will still be able to alter the design or design elements of your cake up to four weeks before your wedding, and we will be as accommodating as possible.

If the alteration affects the overall cost then your balance will be adjusted and any additional costs must be paid.
