You’re engaged! Congratulations!!
Planning a wedding is amazing. It can be one of the most joyful experiences you will ever have. But, it can also be a bit overwhelming and daunting.
Here are some of my most frequently asked questions, answered! If there's anything you still want to know, drop me a message to ask!.
How do I order a wedding cake?
Get in touch through my enquiry form!
I'll get back to you to let you know if I'm available for your date, and I will ask for some more details about exactly what you're looking for. I'll probably suggest booking a consultation with me!
What happens at a wedding cake consultation?
I'll invite you to my home studio to chat about your plans and ideas - this is chance for us to get to know each other a little, to drink some bubbles (or tea!) and for you to taste some cake!
We'll make a clear plan of your dream cake, favours or dessert table ( or all three!), and
you'll go away with a quote, which I will also
email to you.
When should I order my cake?
It's never too early to secure your date in my calendar! I am a one-woman business, with a limited number of bookings each month, so get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
I always try to accommodate last minute orders, but once my calendar is fully booked, I stop taking orders. If you're wondering about your date, drop me a message and ask!
How much will my wedding cake cost?
Your cake price depends on the design, style and decoration of your cake. As a general guide, two tier cakes start from £350, and three tiers from £450.
I provide a bespoke quote once we’ve discussed your wedding cake design together during our consultation.
I use the best quality ingredients in my cakes, and every element is made from scratch, fresh to order for your wedding day.
Can I have a different flavour for each tier?
Absolutely yes! I love creating cakes like this - the more flavour the better!
Do you make vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free cakes?
I can make vegan cakes, but I only offer “gluten intolerant friendly” cakes and desserts. I take extra care when baking gluten free items, but gluten is present in my kitchen, so I cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination.
Do you make edible favours and dessert tables?
Yes! A thousand times, yes! These are some of my absolutely favourite things to make - please do ask me about them!
Do you deliver?
Yes - in fact, I recommend it! I charge a small extra fee for delivery and set up at your venue on the day - this means your cake is as perfect as it possibly can be, and means we aren't leaving anything to chance.
Do you have terms and conditions?
Yes - they are here: Terms and Conditions
I need to have these in place to make sure that everyone’s expectations are met, and to protect myself should something go wrong. Usually these will outline things like payment times, what happens in case of injury or emergency, and cancellation policies.
Every wedding supplier you work with is likely to have their own terms and conditions, so make sure you are familiar with each one before you sign them.
Have any further questions? Drop me a message today and let's chat about your perfect wedding cake!
Happy wedding planning!
